About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and develop a defined portfolio of food ingredients, including starches, sweeteners, proteins, hydrocolloids, functional systems, nutraceuticals, flavours, and fragrances
  • Monitor product performance, pricing, margins, and stock levels
  • Identify portfolio gaps and propose new products or suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with EU food regulations, specifications, and documentation
  • Act as the primary contact for assigned suppliers
  • Negotiate pricing, annual agreements, and commercial terms
  • Coordinate forecasts, tenders, and supply chain planning
  • Support supplier onboarding and product launches
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new products
  • Support sales teams with technical and commercial expertise
  • Conduct customer visits, product presentations, and training sessions
  • Provide pricing guidance, product positioning, and application know-how
  • Prepare sales tools, including datasheets, presentations, and value propositions
  • Participate in customer meetings and trade shows such as Fi Europe and Vitafoods
  • Collaborate with regional sales managers across Europe
  • Work with logistics, quality, regulatory, and marketing teams
  • Ensure product availability and complaint handling
  • Support digital initiatives including CRM, product data, and online catalogues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or similar
  • 3–7+ years of experience in food ingredients, distribution, or B2B food manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of food applications, including bakery, dairy, beverages, savoury, and nutrition
  • Experience with suppliers or customers in Europe is a strong advantage
  • Strong commercial mindset with technical understanding
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Analytical, structured, and proactive working style
  • Comfortable in an international environment
  • Fluent English
  • Fluent Spanish
  • Experience as a Product Manager in the food industry
  • Result-oriented
  • Availability to travel
  • English CV and cover letter required
