About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Process assigned workers’ compensation claims in accordance with Firm policies and procedures
  • Clear the case management software feed daily
  • Complete assigned tasks by relevant deadlines
  • Properly document all relevant activity in the case management system
  • Clear emails daily
  • Complete monthly Meaningful Client Communication and serve as the primary client contact for claim management and litigation issues
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters, third-party administrators, medical providers, and other relevant parties as directed by the assigned attorney
  • Meet regularly with the assigned attorney to ensure each claim is reviewed at least once per month
  • Meet regularly with the assigned attorney to assist with litigation issues
  • Work with clients and the assigned attorney to identify and address issues
  • Train Claims Specialists as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of six months of workers’ compensation claims experience or other related claims experience
  • Thorough knowledge of legal principles, legal research techniques, legal terminology, and government regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment such as a copy machine, fax machine, printer, scanner, and computer
  • Ability to work with databases and online technological platforms
  • Ability to be detail-oriented, diligent, and flexible
  • Ability to handle conflicting time demands and focus on task completion with little direction or supervisory follow-up
  • Proficient command of the English language in both oral and written format
  • Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various backgrounds and professional competencies
  • Committed to maintaining integrity and confidentiality on behalf of clients and the Firm
  • Two-week, on-site onboarding and new hire training program in Las Vegas, NV is required
  • Preferred: Associates Degree or Certificate program in Legal Studies
  • Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Preferred: Authorized Nevada Notary
