About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide electrical analysis, design, and drafting for lighting, power, associated control systems, and low voltage systems
- Design and analyze electrical systems for installation, interconnection, and control of architectural, electrical, and mechanical components
- Design lighting and power distribution systems, low voltage systems, and size equipment using applicable codes and standards
- Prepare feasibility studies and schematic design packages
- Produce construction documents according to company and client standards
- Communicate and coordinate with other disciplines to produce coordinated construction documents
- Conduct field measuring and checking at project sites
- Maintain organized project files containing calculations, schedules, correspondence, and reference materials
- Edit and draft project specifications with assistance
- Review project submittals for conformance with contract documents and specify required actions
- Respond to RFIs
- Perform related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- LEED accredited professional qualification preferred
- 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering field
- Experience with short-circuit analysis and coordination using SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower preferred
- Possess the Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification from any of the 50 states
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of Bluebeam
- Knowledge of BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Knowledge of NFPA standards as they apply to electrical design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to adhere to project quality, budget, and schedule
