About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design or analyze data, telecommunications, fire alarm, CCTV, access control, wireless LAN, and security systems for industrial or commercial construction and renovation projects
- Prepare working drawings for construction using CAD systems
- Provide CAD support to senior staff
- Coordinate with other disciplines to produce coordinated construction documents
- Conduct field measuring and checking at project sites
- Maintain organized project files containing calculations, correspondence, and reference materials
- Edit project specifications with assistance
- Review project submittals and shop drawings for conformance with contract documents
- Specify actions required for conformance
- Perform related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred or related field, electronic engineering, information technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-6 years related experience in data, telecommunication, fire alarm and security engineering field
- Revit proficiency required
- RCDD preferred
- Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and MS Word
- Autodesk Revit
- AutoCAD
- Bluebeam
- BIM360
- Knowledge of applicable BICSI, ANSI/TIA/EIA guidelines and NFPA-72
- Ability to work with CAD systems and prepare construction drawings
