About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and evolve business logic, models, migrations and REST/GraphQL APIs in an existing Rails application
- Implement event producers and consumers with Apache Kafka for asynchronous flows between services
- Design scalable APIs for the mobile app ecosystem and deploy on AWS infrastructure
- Build resilient integration layers with Salesforce and Sage ERP
- Write unit and integration tests using RSpec
- Deliver feature increments in Agile sprints
- Estimate story points and design technical tasks
- Safeguard system performance and API stability
- Collaborate with Product, QA and the client's internal team in an integrated working model
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid, recent Ruby on Rails experience at a semisenior level
- Hands-on experience with AWS
- Experience with Kafka or event-driven architectures
- Experience with enterprise applications or products, evolving existing applications
- Fluent English, able to work directly with US-based teams
- Testing with RSpec and Agile methodologies
