About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform constructability reviews and project coordination using BIM technologies and processes
Utilize 3D design software to identify, communicate, and resolve project challenges
Combine all building discipline models into a 3D design software coordination model
Review coordination models for constructability issues using clash detection capabilities
Assign responsible parties for issue resolution
Verify and document resolutions with meeting minutes, submittals, RFIs, and updated models
Communicate with internal and external project teams
Facilitate meetings to resolve project issues and review schedules or other project documentation
Utilize reality capture technology, including laser scanning and drones, to support project deliverables
Participate in office and department activities, including orientation programs, training sessions, and peer group meetings
Support one VDC deliverable under supervision
Protect and promote the interests of Gilbane and the client

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Information Modeling (BIM) or related field
0-1 years of VDC or BIM Coordination experience
Prior utilization of 3D design software is preferred
Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong time-management and analytical skills
Knowledge and functional use of BIM design software
Basic understanding of construction documentation
Strong interest in design concepts and integrated building components and systems
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
