About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage and influence health care professionals to build educational platforms, generate insights, and inform current and future brand and disease-state strategies
  • Work closely with Healthcare Professionals and Opinion Leaders in a field-based marketing role
  • Execute Kite’s overarching commercial US interaction strategy with opinion leaders in heme, hem/onc, and CAR T treatment areas
  • Identify, profile, cultivate, and maintain long-term partnerships with National, Regional, and Emerging Opinion Leaders
  • Develop regional Opinion Leader strategies and communicate plans with cross-functional partners
  • Solicit insights from Opinion Leaders and develop advocacy aligned to commercial and marketing strategy and messaging
  • Engage in on-label conversations about disease diagnosis and treatment, referral dynamics, product positioning, and opportunities for Kite
  • Plan and execute Opinion Leader interactions and executive encounters at conferences, field visits, and other venues
  • Serve as a point of contact to resolve commercial Opinion Leader issues
  • Use Opinion Leader insights and competitive intelligence to shape brand strategies and tactical activities
  • Identify market gaps, anticipate competitor actions, and drive strategic planning
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning, recruitment, and execution of regional and national advisory boards
  • Identify, align, and recruit HCP/Opinion Leader consultants for marketing projects and KPIs
  • Lead development and execution of third-party educational programs, including vendor partnership management and tactical delivery
  • Inform strategic planning and execution of Opinion Leader programming, conferences, and speaker’s bureau activities
  • Ensure Opinion Leader programming reflects real-world practice, geographic nuance, and unmet clinical needs
  • Create inclusion, develop talent, and empower teams as a people leader

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and Twelve Years’ Experience OR Master's Degree and Ten Years’ Experience OR PhD and Eight Years’ Experience
  • 12+ years of pharmaceutical / biotech industry experience, including prior sales experience in hematology / oncology
  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical / biotech industry people leadership experience
  • Thorough understanding of the hematology / oncology clinical landscape, ideally with prior experience in cell therapy or stem cell transplant
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships with oncology and cell therapy opinion leaders
  • Willingness and aptitude to stay on the cutting edge of data readouts and communicate implications to Kite
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal / written communication skills
  • Prior leadership experience preferred
  • Extensive travel (>60%) within region
