About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Represent Gilead's products and services to a defined customer base in the St. Louis territory
  • Generate and grow sales by achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Manage healthcare accounts through in-person representation, face-to-face meetings, and strategic partnerships
  • Establish relationships with healthcare providers
  • Deliver disease awareness information, clinical updates, and education on healthcare changes
  • Distill complex clinical concepts into understandable messages for diverse audiences
  • Build relationships with healthcare providers across various touchpoints
  • Develop and execute territory business plans
  • Monitor sales progress and adjust strategies to meet targets
  • Maintain expertise in Gilead products, competitive products, and the therapeutic area
  • Promote appropriate use of Gilead products in accordance with Corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines
  • Partner with field reimbursement managers, medical scientists, and other field team members
  • Collaborate with healthcare organizations and partner companies, including co-promotion efforts
  • Uphold compliance standards and ethical behavior
  • Report adverse events to Gilead's Drug Safety and Public Health department
  • Leverage influencing and relationship skills to drive sales outcomes
  • Report call activity and customer information in designated systems
  • Submit expenses and manage the territory budget
  • Stay current on industry trends and therapeutic-area developments
  • Work autonomously to exceed performance standards
  • Contribute to Inclusion & Diversity efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School and Nine Years' Experience OR Associates Degree and Seven Years' Experience OR Bachelor's Degree and Five Years' Experience OR Masters' Degree and Three Years' Experience
  • Ability to engage in required travel, including regular travel within the assigned area
  • Satisfaction of applicable onsite visitation requirements of healthcare practitioners
  • Valid driver's license required
  • A minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry sales experience preferred
  • Superior selling skills focused on highly competitive markets preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives preferred
  • Successful performance and collaborative leadership with account-focused cross-functional local teams preferred
  • Experience selling injectable physician-administered products preferred
  • Familiarity with the managed care landscape preferred
  • Experience selling a Buy and Bill product with proven sales success
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic areas, disease states, treatment protocols, and competitive landscape
  • Comfort engaging in conversations in the sexual health space
  • Experience managing a multiple-product portfolio
  • Demonstrated strong experience working with Denver health systems
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
  • Ability to comply with regulatory, state, federal, and company policies and business ethics
