About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and manage strategic business relationships with key account stakeholders across large health systems, IDNs, specialty pharmacies, national/regional accounts, and Priority/SWAT accounts to facilitate patient access to Gilead’s HIV Prevention products
  • Serve as an enterprise-level reimbursement and access expert using influence mapping to identify stakeholders across complex organizations
  • Lead coordinated, cross-regional account strategies across local FRMs and matrix partners
  • Assess systemic access and reimbursement barriers including benefit verification, prior authorization, medical exception, claims, acquisition, specialty pharmacy, and LAI operational workflows
  • Partner with senior account stakeholders and internal matrix teams to establish and optimize scalable reimbursement processes
  • Support the internal patient support program team in enhancing HUB and FRM processes
  • Communicate formulary, coverage, payer policy, and reimbursement process changes to strategic accounts
  • Create instructional resources, account implementation plans, and best-practice education for providers, office staff, billing teams, revenue cycle teams, and implementation stakeholders
  • Coordinate FRMs, Long-Acting Implementation Directors, Strategic Account Managers, Prevention Specialists, Market Access, Gilead HUB, Marketing, Patient Support, and other cross-functional partners
  • Identify patient-journey bottlenecks and use technology, insights, and escalation pathways to address high-need account situations
  • Measure education delivery, implementation success, systemic issue resolution, coordination, and scalable access/reimbursement support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and Eight Years’ Experience, or Master's Degree and Six Years’ Experience, or Ph.D.
  • Preferred BA/BS/RN with 8+ years of experience working for a major pharmaceutical organization in field reimbursement, access, patient services, market access, account management, or related team
  • Preferred MA/MS/PharmD with 6+ years of experience working for a major pharmaceutical organization in field reimbursement, access, patient services, market access, account management, or related role
  • Prior leadership, enterprise account, IDN/health system, or cross-functional account strategy experience strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of payers, providers, health systems, specialty pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies in reimbursement and access
  • Experience engaging with and managing large, complex provider accounts, multi-location health systems, IDNs, national/regional accounts, and/or accounts spanning multiple states or regions
  • Familiarity with pharmacy benefits, medical benefits, specialty payer landscape, reimbursement pathways, and acquisition models across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer segments
  • Understanding of local, state, and national policy changes and their effect on reimbursement, coverage, acquisition, and account workflows
  • Experience partnering with specialty pharmacies and HUB services to support account-specific workflow optimization and patient access processes
  • Ability to influence without authority, align matrixed stakeholders, and translate account-level barriers into scalable process improvements
  • Strong executive presence and comfort engaging C-suite or executive leadership, pharmacy directors, revenue cycle leaders, implementation leaders, and system stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel 75% of the time across designated regions and strategic accounts
  • In-person meetings with key stakeholders are crucial to success
