About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Represent Gilead's products and services to a defined customer base in the St. Louis territory
  • Generate and grow sales by achieving or exceeding sales targets within the assigned geographic area
  • Manage healthcare accounts through in-person representation, face-to-face meetings, and strategic partnerships
  • Build relationships with healthcare providers and deliver disease awareness information, clinical updates, and education
  • Develop and execute territory business plans aligned with customer needs and sales goals
  • Monitor sales progress and adjust strategies to meet or exceed targets
  • Maintain knowledge of Gilead products, competitive products, and therapeutic-area disease states
  • Promote appropriate use of Gilead products in accordance with Corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines
  • Partner with field reimbursement managers, medical scientists, and other field team members
  • Collaborate with healthcare organizations and partner companies, including co-promotion efforts
  • Uphold compliance standards, ethical behavior, and applicable regulatory, state, federal, and company policies
  • Report adverse events to Gilead's Drug Safety and Public Health department
  • Build long-term partnerships with healthcare providers and drive sales outcomes
  • Report call activity and customer information in designated systems
  • Submit expenses and manage the territory budget
  • Stay current on technical and scientific product information, industry trends, and therapeutic-area changes
  • Work autonomously to exceed performance standards
  • Contribute to Gilead's Inclusion & Diversity efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must live within 20 miles of the St. Louis territory
  • Experience in selling a Buy and Bill product with proven sales success
  • Advanced communication skills for conveying complex clinical information
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a competitive pharmaceutical environment
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic areas, disease states, treatment protocols, and competitive landscape
  • Cultural awareness, empathy, and sensitivity across diverse customers
  • Comfort engaging in conversations in the sexual health space
  • Ability to lead within a cross-functional matrix environment
  • Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external partnerships
  • Leadership by example in compliance and ethical behavior
  • Ability to work independently and exceed expectations
  • Proficiency in managing and growing key accounts strategically
  • Experience managing a multiple-product portfolio
  • Demonstrated strong experience working with Denver health systems
  • High school degree and eleven years of experience, or associate's degree and nine years of experience, or bachelor's degree and seven years of experience, or master's degree and five years of experience
  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned area
  • Ability to satisfy healthcare practitioner onsite visitation requirements, including possible vaccinations, drug screenings, and background screenings
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Preferred: minimum four years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry sales experience
  • Preferred: BA or BS degree
  • Preferred: superior selling skills in highly competitive markets
  • Preferred: consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives
  • Preferred: experience selling injectable physician-administered products
  • Preferred: familiarity with managed care landscape
