About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build out a world-class product marketing discipline
  • Shape product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies
  • Lead high-profile projects contributing to company growth
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to launch and grow existing, new, and emerging products in a two-sided marketplace
  • Own product launch, activation, and adoption success using KPIs including product usage, NPS, ARPU, LTV, and percentage of consistent givers
  • Conduct primary and secondary customer and market research
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to inform product, messaging, and go-to-market improvements
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities
  • Translate customer and market insights into actionable growth strategies
  • Identify business opportunities, refine root problems, prioritize solutions, build roadmaps, and design validation tests
  • Develop product positioning, messaging, and messaging frameworks
  • Lead go-to-market strategies and success criteria for product launches and updates
  • Equip marketing, business development, sales, and customer success teams with knowledge, processes, and collateral
  • Track, report, and optimize performance using qualitative and quantitative data
  • Build and lead large cross-functional projects
  • Prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines and document progress

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree required at a minimum
  • 5+ years of relevant product marketing manager experience
  • 7+ years of total experience
  • Strong experience in product marketing fundamentals, including consumer insights, market research, product messaging development, and go-to-market strategy building
  • Experience working in consumer technology organizations or two-sided marketplaces
  • Combination of customer empathy and curiosity, data-oriented mindset, and creative sensibilities
  • Strategic thinker with a logical, evidence-based approach to driving decisions
  • High ownership mentality
  • Excellent communication skills, including explaining complex topics simply
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Outstanding project management skills, including prioritizing and managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • MBA or MS in marketing or business is a plus
  • Certification(s) in product or customer marketing is a plus
  • Experience in hypothesis-based test-and-learn growth approach is a plus
  • Experience in pricing and monetization is a plus
