Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the social content process from ideation through publishing
  • Develop audience-first content strategies and creative briefs
  • Partner with internal teams, external organizations, and community advocates to uncover and craft stories
  • Create content that sparks conversation, encourages sharing, and builds community
  • Engage across comments, direct messages, and owned communities
  • Use social listening and audience research to understand audience interests
  • Create strategies to turn new audiences into loyal followers
  • Identify engagement opportunities with creators, organizations, and aligned communities
  • Measure audience growth, test new ideas, and improve follower acquisition
  • Plan and execute monthly and quarterly campaigns
  • Use AI to accelerate research, planning, and execution
  • Monitor digital and industry trends and best practices
  • Summarize sentiment shifts to inform content and engagement strategies
  • Report campaign effectiveness, KPIs, and value delivered, surfacing actionable insights
  • Respond to negative feedback and public conflict with empathy and professionalism
  • Build and manage community spaces such as Facebook Groups
  • Report to the Social Media Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred)
  • 3–5 years creating high-performing social media content and managing online communities
  • Portfolio highlighting some of your best work (please include password)
  • Proficiency with Sprout Social, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Strong writing and editing skills, including crafting engaging and authentic social media comments and content captions
  • Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools
  • Experience with project management software such as Asana, Notion, Airtable, or JIRA
  • Experience in sales (preferred)
