About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with Production, Maintenance, and other departments to implement the Operation Excellence Program using lean manufacturing principles and other tools
  • Coordinate training for OPEX programs and SOP development across all sites
  • Ensure compliance with reporting standards for consistent performance measurement, monitoring, and improvement
  • Coordinate phased implementation of Glanbia Performance Systems throughout GPN operations departments
  • Coordinate, train, educate, implement, execute, and lead operations functions and improvement initiatives
  • Improve the productivity and reliability of operations
  • Perform cause analysis on productivity and reliability measurements
  • Deliver site cost-savings targets
  • Facilitate teams to implement sustained improvements and achieve facility performance targets
  • Use continuous improvement tools and assist with 6S project monitoring and mentoring
  • Maintain safety, quality, and professional standards within the food manufacturing facility
  • Coach site personnel at all levels on Lean and continuous improvement tools and principles
  • Develop, design, and document processes that improve safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Identify and reduce or eliminate waste
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and quality teams on plant tools and installations
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in plant processes
  • Benchmark and share best practices across the organization
  • Diagnose operations processes to identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop and present ROI projects
  • Use DMAIC to determine root causes and develop sustainable corrective actions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 - 5 years of manufacturing experience in a large organization recognized as a leader in its field
  • College or equivalent preferred; candidates with training / Certifications in OPEX Programs accepted
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
  • TPM Implementation Knowledge
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience with world-class systems, lean systems, and continuous improvement systems
  • Extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Ability to apply detailed technical analysis
  • Broad understanding of manufacturing concepts
  • Proven facilitation, influencing, and leadership skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including presentations and classroom sessions
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work with people across all organizational levels
  • Strong analytical, organization, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to drive cultural change in a work environment
  • Ability to perform the listed physical and lifting demands
