About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor extruder equipment, gauges, and panel lights to detect deviations from standards
Adjust gauges, PLCs, and operational controls according to specifications
Adhere to safety, food safety, and other relevant policies and procedures
Execute laboratory techniques and sampling
Hook up CIP lines to cyclones, transitions, and fluid beds
Record gauge readings, test results, and shift production on quality and production documentation
Transport materials and products manually or using pallet jacks and forklifts
Weigh or measure ingredients and materials for batching using scales and pumps
Clean, lubricate, and maintain the sanitary condition of processing equipment using chemicals and cleaning equipment
Perform other duties as assigned
Report unsafe activities to the supervisor and/or Human Resources
Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
Provide leadership through example and knowledge sharing

Requirements

What you’ll need

Mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and understand computer screens
Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly
Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions
Ability to read instructions and safety information in English
Not afraid of heights; may have to go on the roof
Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, and move around for extended periods
Ability to work in environmental conditions including noise, dust, and temperature variations
Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity
Ability to handle occasional climbing, stooping, crouching, reaching, and handling
Ability to perform essential duties efficiently and accurately, with or without reasonable accommodation, without creating a significant safety threat
