About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software
- Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications
- Research, test, build, and coordinate conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements
- Design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software
- Evaluate software effectiveness
- Address systems integration, compatibility, and multiple-platform problems
- Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements
- Perform feasibility analyses on potential future projects for management
- Assist in evaluating and recommending application software packages, application integration, and testing tools
- Resolve software problems and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
- Act as team leader on projects
- Instruct, assign, direct, and check the work of other development team members
- Participate in developing software user manuals and technical reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior or active DHS clearance strongly preferred
- Must be able to successfully obtain a CBP Background Investigation (BI)
- Must be based in the DC Metro area / Virginia / Maryland
