About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Research and evaluate the accounting impact of new or non-recurring significant transactions that may materially impact the Company's financial statements
Document conclusions in well-supported technical accounting memos reviewed by the Head of Financial Reporting and SOX PMO
Monitor and assess new and emerging accounting pronouncements (ASUs) and SEC guidance
Maintain the Company's accounting policies and lead implementation of significant changes
Subscribe to and leverage Big 4 accounting research tools and training
Prepare technical accounting analyses and memos across revenue, stock-based compensation, leases, EPS, debt, equity, investments, and other areas
Serve as the technical accounting reviewer/approver in the Chart of Accounts creation and maintenance process
Verify account mappings and financial statement alignments are accurate and adhere to internal standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Active CPA
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant Big 4 public accounting experience
Strong, current knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Ability to research technical accounting issues and prepare clear, well-supported position papers/memos
Experience with technical accounting areas including stock-based compensation, leases, revenue, debt, and business combinations
Technical accounting / national office experience
Fintech or SaaS industry experience
Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Oracle and Workiva
Advanced Excel skills
