About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Unload, sort, and stage products
  • Sort, stage, and prepare orders for shipment using an RF scanning system
  • Manually pull specialized non-RF scanner products as needed
  • Sort and place stock products on racks, shelves, or bins according to assigned locations
  • Lift and move warehouse objects weighing 50-80 pounds and occasionally team-lift or team-move objects weighing 80-150 pounds
  • Complete and maintain daily and weekly warehouse equipment maintenance
  • Communicate shipping, delivery, packaging, and tagging issues to Customer Care, the Warehouse Manager, and/or General Manager
  • Respond to internal and external customer requests in a timely manner
  • Complete work accurately and on time with strong attention to detail
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Safely operate warehouse PIT equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks
  • Wear required personal protective equipment
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures, promptly report incidents, and participate in training sessions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 yrs. previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate with customers, sales personnel and internal staff
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Previous forklift experience preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred
  • Basic RF scanner knowledge preferred
  • Ability to pass PIT certifications provided by Global
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Ability to work in extreme hot and/or cold weather conditions
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing 50-80 pounds and occasionally 80-150 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required
  • Must be able to work near moving mechanical parts, in high or precarious places, near fumes or airborne particles, outdoors, and in extreme heat
