About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate Indonesian to English or English to Indonesian into an accurate product.
- Edit and review translated materials for accuracy, grammar, formatting, and consistency.
- Translate and edit official documents, including vital records, legal documents, official certificates, and academic transcripts.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow client-specific instructions and formatting requirements.
- Meet assigned deadlines, including one-to-two-day turnaround timelines when required.
- Work independently on ongoing assignments provided on an as-needed basis.
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. Citizenship and current residence in the United States are required.
- Willingness to complete a Tier 1 background investigation, including fingerprinting.
- Native or highly proficient Indonesian and English language skills.
- Two to five years of proven experience as a translator and/or editor.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent formatting skills, and the ability to produce client-ready work.
- Reliable, deadline-oriented, highly productive, and comfortable working independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, professional approach.
- Access to up-to-date Windows software and the ability to work with standard document formats.
- Able to provide per-word rates for translation and editing.
- Willingness to accept assignments on an as-needed basis.
