About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Translate Lithuanian to English or English to Lithuanian accurately
Edit and review translated materials for accuracy, grammar, formatting, and consistency
Translate and edit official documents, including vital records, legal documents, official certificates, and academic transcripts
Maintain confidentiality and follow client-specific instructions and formatting requirements
Meet assigned deadlines, including one-to-two-day turnaround timelines when required
Complete ongoing assignments provided on an as-needed basis

Requirements

What you’ll need

U.S. Citizenship and current residence in the United States are required
Candidates must be willing to complete a Tier 1 background investigation, including fingerprinting
Native or highly proficient Lithuanian and English language skills
Two to five years of proven experience as a translator and/or editor
Strong attention to detail
Excellent formatting skills
Ability to produce client-ready work
Reliable, deadline-oriented, and highly productive
Comfortable working independently
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, professional approach
Access to up-to-date Windows software
Ability to work with standard document formats
Able to provide per-word rates for translation and editing
Willingness to accept assignments on an as-needed basis
