About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support all sales groups by obtaining and maintaining customer setup information
  • Properly input data and maintain accurate records
  • Administer customer allocations
  • Partner with internal and external contacts to obtain new customer setup information, including taxes, pricing, and other customer-related information
  • Ensure records are obtained and processed within defined timelines
  • Coordinate with other suppliers to ensure full terminal setup
  • Understand system requirements and processes
  • Input and maintain customer setup information in legacy and terminal automation systems
  • Handle, research, resolve, and escalate customer setup inquiries and issues as appropriate
  • Serve as point of contact for customers with allocation and loading issues
  • Communicate directly with clients and maintain key customer relations
  • Compile reports on customer setups as needed
  • Authorize carriers to pull off accounts and ensure data is tied to appropriate accounts
  • Configure and distribute driver access cards
  • Monitor and manage carrier insurance documentation
  • Handle terminal access agreements
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Customer service experience, managing customer setups and maintaining data (preferred)
  • Industry knowledge, including terminal structures (throughput or exchange) (preferred)
  • Understanding and experience working with Petroex codes (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (preferred)
  • Professional demeanor and ability to solve problems, work under pressure, and handle/resolve issues proactively and reactively (preferred)
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to organize and manage multiple priorities (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well in a team environment (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Openlink, RightAngle, and PDI Software (preferred)
  • Ability to interpret insurance certificates, account request forms, and other operational correspondence (preferred)
  • Routine report writing and correspondence (preferred)
  • Ability to speak effectively with peers, customers, and counterparties across the industry (preferred)
  • Ability to interpret and carry out written, oral, or diagram-form instructions (preferred)
  • Problem-solving involving several concrete variables (preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • Ability to work 9pm–6am
  • Requires after-hours on-call support one week per month
