About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define technical strategy for execution of large software programs, including technical blueprints, design, interfaces, and capability needs
- Communicate with senior management and customers to align software strategy with internal roadmaps and customer needs
- Mentor engineering and development teams and perform design and code reviews
- Collaborate with hardware development teams to develop test procedures, deploy software, and evaluate embedded performance
- Evaluate and select tools, programming languages, and frameworks
- Manage technical and programmatic risk by prototyping designs, developing mitigation strategies, and communicating risks
- Assure software meets standards and requirements for quality, reliability, performance, security, and usability
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering
- 10+ years experience with software development on DoW/IC programs
- 5+ years experience with OPIR missions on DoW/IC programs
- TS/SCI eligibility
- Experience with Python and C/C++
- Experience with embedded software development
- MA/MS in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering (preferred)
- Experience with Rust (preferred)
- Experience with FPGA architectures (preferred)
- Experience with AI/ML/agent workflows (preferred)
- Experience with detection & tracking algorithms (preferred)
