About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in weekly/monthly financial close activities and reporting
Assist with performing internal financial and performance audits
Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies and perform variance analysis
Participate in accounting activities including accounts receivable/payable, fixed assets accounting, and cash flow
Work with a variety of data sets to identify gaps, trends, provide fixes, and escalate issues
Prioritize workloads and make thoughtful time management decisions
Contribute to a positive, collaborative, effective working environment
Provide timely reports supporting company forecasting, budgeting, and financial data analysis
Participate in reporting and planning procedures with other leaders and executives
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of Finance and Accounting experience
Familiarity with general ledger, creating journal entries, and account reconciliation
Familiarity with financial statements
Experience in a fast-paced environment
Demonstration of analytical skills and strong attention to detail
Demonstration of strong communication skills and organization
Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, QuickBooks, and other accounting software
Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
