About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support, enhance, and modernize existing functionality
Analyze legacy Delphi code and business rules implemented in the database
Support the decoupling of monolithic routines
Propose technical improvements without compromising product stability
Implement fixes, enhancements, and new functionality
Support the documentation of technical business rules
Participate in technical and functional refinement sessions
Support investigations into incidents, performance issues, and business inconsistencies
Collaborate with QA, Product, Architecture, and other development teams
Use AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, analysis, and documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience in Delphi development
Experience maintaining, enhancing, and refactoring legacy systems
Knowledge of relational databases, preferably SQL Server
Ability to analyze stored procedures, queries, data models, and business rules implemented in the database
Experience with Git
Experience with Jira or an equivalent demand management tool
Ability to work with highly complex legacy code
Strong analytical skills for understanding tax, accounting, labor, or business rules
Experience fixing bugs, improving performance, and enhancing functionality
Strong communication skills when working with Product, QA, support, and Architecture teams
Ability to document technical decisions and identified business rules
Knowledge of or experience with .NET Core / C#
Experience with modernization, migration, or monolith decoupling projects
Experience with REST APIs
Knowledge of software architecture, separation of responsibilities, and layered architecture
Experience with AI tools applied to software development
Knowledge of ERP, payroll, tax, accounting, or ancillary regulatory reporting systems
Knowledge of CI/CD
Experience with static code analysis, dependency mapping, or assisted refactoring
