Key responsibilities & impact

Lead an engineering organization of 12 DevOps Engineering, Application Management and IT Consultancy Professionals
Lead, mentor and develop DevOps Engineering and Application Management teams
Drive professional growth, coaching and career development of Engineers and IT Consultants
Build and maintain an inclusive, collaborative and performance-oriented engineering culture
Manage employee performance through feedback, performance reviews and development planning
Participate in recruitment, talent acquisition and onboarding
Own delivery of software, platform and automation initiatives aligned with business objectives
Manage capacity planning, workload prioritization and resource allocation
Establish and monitor engineering metrics, KPIs and SLAs
Oversee incident management and resolution of critical situations
Support technology modernization initiatives and evaluate emerging technologies
Partner with Architects, Product Owners and business stakeholders on technology roadmaps
Champion agile ways of working using Scrum, Kanban and DevOps practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

DevOps Engineering background with hands-on knowledge of GitLab and Cloudsmith
Minimum 2 years of experience leading and developing engineering teams
Proven track record of delivering complex technology initiatives in fast-paced and dynamic environments
Experience working with agile methodologies and modern engineering practices
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business audiences
Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Passion for engineering excellence, innovation and continuous improvement
Ability to successfully lead teams through organizational and technological change
Strong coaching and servant leadership mindset with a focus on team empowerment and growth
Self-starter approach with a proactive and strategic mindset
Open-minded and curious about emerging technologies and engineering trends
Strong ownership mentality and commitment to delivering measurable business outcomes
Excellent English language skills; German language knowledge is an advantage
Willingness to undertake occasional international business travel
