About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform daily orbit determination calculations and support orbit raising operations for old and new Low Earth Orbiting satellites
Support the establishment and maintenance of the satellite constellation
Perform orbit determination, propagation, and analysis using mathematical models
Use AGI’s Systems Tool Kit (STK), including ODTK, to model, analyze, and simulate orbital trajectories
Generate daily orbit data for satellite contacts
Perform maneuver planning, including orbit raising and station keeping
Support launch operations
Provide 24/7 on-call support for troubleshooting and anomaly resolution
Support and develop Python and MATLAB scripts to automate orbital analysis tasks
Follow job-related instructions and perform other duties requested by the supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or higher in Aerospace, Physics or closely related field
5+ years of experience with satellite operations, orbital mechanics, astrodynamics, or spacecraft flight dynamics
5+ years of experience with general satellite knowledge that included components, mass properties, satellite attitude, propulsion systems
Expertise with Orbit Mechanics / Dynamics, Orbit determination, Ephemeris generation, and maneuver planning
Experience developing and maintaining STK and ODTK using Python
Must be a U.S. person as defined by 15 C.F.R. § 772.1 (U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien, or protected individual)
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with attention-to-detail
Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Familiarity with NetSuite
Strong problem-solving skills, especially under time constraints
Ability to identify and seek needed information
