About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and support workload automation solutions
- Optimize batch processing and operational efficiency across the organization
- Collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze automation needs and provide deliverables
- Develop and implement batch jobs, workflows, and software components using Tidal or similar scheduling software
- Troubleshoot and resolve batch problems cross-functionally
- Escalate complex or consequential issues to management
- Direct changes through appropriate review and approval mechanisms
- Support workload automation users and teams
- Mentor less experienced engineers
- Support batch optimization and reporting
- Support IT SOX Audit controls for batch jobs and access management
- Provide incident management and resolution through an on-call rotation
- Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and Treating Customers Fairly requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2-4 years of workflow development and engineering experience with Tidal or similar job scheduling software tools required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Proven abilities in engineering batch jobs and workflows preferred
- Proficiency coding scripts in Unix, Linux and Windows system interface languages preferred
- Operating System fluency with Linux, UNIX, AIX, and Windows preferred
- Familiarity with ITIL Service Management framework principles preferred
- Ability to identify, develop, document and implement industry best practices centered on Tidal or similar job scheduling technologies
- Excellent analytical ability and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot
- Skills evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias
- Experience integrating AI into workflows
- Understanding of responsible AI use, ethics, and data protection
- Ability to work with limited to moderate direct supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to train others in use of software/tools
- Experience with SQL scripting highly preferred
