About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support consumer risk and portfolio management activities through data analysis, reporting, and portfolio performance monitoring
  • Support data analysis, validation, and reporting to ensure information is accurate, reliable, and actionable
  • Assist with portfolio performance reporting, including trends, results, key business drivers, portfolio analytics, and credit risk concepts
  • Identify business questions, translate them into data-driven analysis, and develop decision-support insights
  • Create, update, and improve reports for internal business partners and management
  • Collaborate with team members and business partners to understand reporting needs, summarize findings, and communicate analysis clearly
  • Contribute to multiple projects throughout the summer internship
  • Build cross-functional relationships and gain broader business insight
  • Gain exposure to credit risk strategy, portfolio analytics, and business decision-making within an auto finance organization
  • Prepare and deliver an end-of-internship presentation to senior leaders summarizing projects, analyses, and accomplishments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a current student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or related
  • Must have at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting
  • Ability to use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot
  • Ability to evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias
  • Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted research, summarization, and content generation
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection
  • Previous internships are a plus
