About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support engineering teams in developing and improving software solutions
  • Gain hands-on experience in an Agile environment
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint activities, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives
  • Participate in team and departmental meetings
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation
  • Assist with building and improving DevOps tooling, including pipelines and static scanning
  • Complete the internship final capstone presentation
  • Maintain a production-first mindset focused on scale, uptime, and rapid triage and resolution of production issues
  • Contribute to Agile practices to improve product quality and time to market
  • Learn to develop product features for data marketplaces, mobile applications, web applications, and API services

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Junior or Senior classification preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required; ability to give presentations and communicate with business leaders
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and conceptual skills required
  • Detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Able to work independently or in a team setting
  • Previous internships are a plus
  • Ability to use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to support daily work
  • Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias
  • Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted research, summarization, and content generation
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection
  • Experience with AI-assisted software development or automation preferred
  • Knowledge of prompting techniques preferred
  • Awareness of emerging GenAI capabilities and limitations preferred
  • Must be a student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or Statistics
  • Must have at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale
