Intern – Tax Analyst
GM Financial. Prepare consolidated corporate tax adjustments for quarterly provision .
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare consolidated corporate tax adjustments for quarterly provision
- Prepare state income and franchise tax returns and estimated tax payments
- Assist in preparation and analysis for global transfer pricing
- Assist with month-close tax account analysis and reconciliations
- Assist with preparation of U.S. international tax returns and disclosures
- Participate in required intern events
- Gain hands-on experience with tax provisions, state and international tax filings, transfer pricing, tax account reconciliations, compliance activities, financial analysis, and tax reporting processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Accounting or a related field
- Efficient with computer technology
- Academic knowledge of tax, accounting or a related field
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to learn and use new technology
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work
- Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias
- Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights
- Familiarity with AI-assisted research, summarization, and content generation
- Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection
