About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute the vision, strategic priorities, and goals of Dealer Originations by translating them into a roadmap of capabilities and enhancements
  • Contribute to continuous, successful, and timely delivery of product capabilities by identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies
  • Lead and prioritize the backlog of initiatives across teams, channels, and touchpoints
  • Troubleshoot and research issues involving risk, dependencies, behaviors, or performance
  • Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders and influencers supporting Dealer Originations strategies
  • Plan future Dealer Originations delivery strategies and features using business needs, customer feedback, and stakeholder consensus
  • Identify opportunities for continuous product improvement
  • Lead and influence direct-report team members implementing the product roadmap
  • Serve as subject matter expert for GM Financial’s Helix originations platform
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with corporate policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Agile Certifications required
  • 4–6 years’ experience as a Product Owner/Manager on an Agile team required
  • Experience leading others through influence preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or additional equivalent experience required
  • Deep understanding and experience in product management/ownership, software product lifecycle, road mapping, and agile methodologies
  • Experience working with delivery teams and collaborating with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and others
  • Proven track record of project execution and shipping products on time and on budget
  • Strong analytical skills, including assembling and interpreting data, creating executive summaries, and delivering business insights
  • Ability to analyze performance measurements and identify performance insights
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to synthesize analytical results into strategic recommendations
  • Ability to understand and explain complex issues and communicate situations at a high level
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent persuasive, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent skills creating and managing a roadmap of features and enhancements
