About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team building modern applications, platforms, and services across the software development lifecycle
- Manage projects from start to finish and ensure timely, scalable, requirements-compliant software delivery
- Define and refine product strategy, technical architecture, platforms, tools, and engineering practices
- Communicate and execute plans for budgets, resources, and tools
- Establish learning plans to grow the team professionally and technically
- Motivate the team to share ideas and promote innovation
- Define delivery and service-level metrics and use them to improve processes and products
- Remove team impediments as a servant leader
- Review test plans and results and guide user acceptance criteria development
- Build relationships with Business Operations partners and provide regular automation updates
- Present team strategies and accomplishments to senior executives and peers
- Champion process improvement, refactoring, and modern engineering practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in software development consisting of architecture and implementing through code
- Advanced knowledge of business processes for supported business groups
- Advanced knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure, and operations
- Advanced working knowledge of information systems and operations systems for supported business groups
- Knowledge of best practices in information technology governance and regulatory landscape for financial institutions
- Significant experience in a large and complex business environment
- Superior organizational skills in planning and prioritizing workload and initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communicating technical terminology to nontechnical audiences
- Proactive and solutions-driven with strong attention to detail
- Ability to coach, develop, and lead others
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to evaluate problems quickly and recommend courses of action
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Ability to analyze problems, correlate data from multiple sources, and communicate pertinent information
- Ability to develop software architectures and designs from product requirements
- Expertise in relevant technologies may be required, including Logic Apps, Tibco BusinessWorks, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Jenkins, Chef, Octopus Deploy, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Git, Angular, JavaScript, CSS, Node.js, ASP.NET MVC, Java, C#, Go, PowerShell, Bash, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, NoSQL/CosmosDB, Selenium, Postman, Maven, TestNG, JMeter, Windows, and Linux
- Ability to use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot
- Ability to evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias
- Experience integrating AI into workflows
- Understanding of responsible AI use, ethics, and data protection
- 8–10 years of software development experience required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
