About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver enterprise business intelligence and analytics solutions that enable business partners to meet organizational objectives
- Consult with stakeholders and business leaders to manage a product roadmap for analysts, developers, administrators, and architects
- Develop, configure, maintain, and support data and analytics solutions, especially Microsoft and Epic Cogito applications
- Help stakeholders define useful metrics, analyses, and analytics strategy
- Intake and evaluate new development requests from organizational leaders
- Manage a data, BI, and analytics asset catalogue
- Lead design sessions for metrics, dashboards, data sets, and analytical models
- Liaise between business users and developers to ensure solutions meet business needs
- Identify and resolve data quality issues with end users, application teams, and leadership
- Design, configure, and maintain self-service data sets in Epic Cogito SlicerDicer and Microsoft Power BI
- Complete system configuration and access management for Epic Radar, Cogito SQL, user security, SlicerDicer, and reporting applications
- Complete testing and lead end users through validation
- Lead end-user adoption, training sessions, and communities of practice
- Manage analytics-tool upgrade tasks
- Mentor Business Intelligence Analyst I team members
- Lead process improvement initiatives
- Translate complex business issues into structured analytics use cases
- Build analytics solutions and comprehensive documentation with the business intelligence development team
- Design analytical dashboards and perform gap analyses
- Build organizational capabilities in data management, reporting, ad hoc analytics, and advanced analytics
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with any of the major Business Intelligence reporting tools, such as BusinessObjects, Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView, Cognos, or Microstrategy
- Experience with Epic Cogito Clarity and Caboodle databases
- Experience with Epic Cogito Tools Administration
- Experience in healthcare, analytics, informatics, or related field
- Relevant academic experience and work experience in statistics, with exposure to data structures and data visualization
- Experience designing simulation, optimization, and predictive models used in business decisions
- Clinical or healthcare background and/or experience with Epic software
- Epic Data Model Certification required within 9 months of hire
- Must reside in Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, South Carolina, Michigan, or Colorado
