About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build, release, and operate STAAND, the District's federally certified Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System
Design and write complex Dataverse plug-ins, custom APIs, PCF controls, TypeScript/JavaScript extensions, Power Fx, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and integrations
Build and maintain GCC/commercial-cloud integrations with retry, idempotency, dead-letter handling, and reconciliation logic
Optimize platform performance, queries, batching, portal behavior, and form/view load times
Implement functionality across six external portals, including web roles, table permissions, and external-user authentication
Build automated unit, integration, and UI regression tests
Own Azure DevOps build and release pipelines and Power Platform ALM
Manage branching, versioning, source control, environment strategy, data masking, DLP alignment, and capacity monitoring
Integrate quality gates and automate Azure infrastructure provisioning
Plan and execute releases, including runbooks, rollback plans, go/no-go criteria, and post-deployment verification
Execute Dynamics 365 and Power Platform release readiness and regression validation
Review pull requests and enforce coding, security, performance, and test coverage standards
Mentor CFSA staff and contract developers through code review
Own production defect triage, root cause analysis, monitoring, alerting, observability, and hypercare
Participate in critical incident escalation rotation outside core hours as required
Monitor capacity, storage, licenses, API consumption, and Azure spend
Maintain and test backup, restore, disaster recovery, runbooks, and support documentation
Engage stakeholders, refine requirements, run demos, support UAT, and triage UAT defects
Partner with training teams on release communications and serve as technical contact for super-users and help desk escalations
Brief District Program Manager and CFSA leadership on delivery status, risks, and trade-offs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on senior developer experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure
Ability to develop Dataverse plug-ins and custom APIs using C#/.NET
Experience building PCF controls and TypeScript/JavaScript client extensions
Proficiency with complex Power Fx
Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and integration components
Experience with Azure DevOps YAML pipelines and Power Platform ALM
Experience with solution export/pack/unpack, environment variables, and connection references
Experience with automated deployments across Dev, Test, UAT, Train, and Production environments
Experience with branching, merge strategies, versioning, and source control
Knowledge of static analysis, Power Platform solution checker, dependency and secret scanning, and automated testing
Experience with Bicep/ARM or Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
Experience with Dynamics 365 release waves and Power Platform updates
Knowledge of secure coding, performance optimization, portal permissions, and PII/PHI handling
Experience with Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Dataverse audit and plug-in trace logs, portal telemetry, and integration dashboards
Experience with backup, restore, disaster recovery, RTO/RPO, and production incident response
Ability to engage with social workers, supervisors, agency partners, and government stakeholders
Ability to facilitate requirements refinement, UAT, demos, and acceptance criteria development
