About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information for Optimum Gestion de Placements inc.
  • Manage budget planning and monitoring, and analyze variances
  • Monitor cash flow, billing, and accounts receivable collections
  • Prepare audit files and manage relationships with external auditors
  • Validate operational controls related to risk management and ensure compliance with internal policies
  • Validate and analyze financial information and financial statements for investment funds
  • Manage fund audits and relationships with auditors
  • Prepare recharge analyses and manage fund taxation
  • Participate in the launch of new investment funds
  • Prepare government remittances and monitor tax filings
  • Monitor new tax and accounting rules and regulations
  • Liaise with tax authorities and respond to requests from Groupe Optimum’s tax department
  • Monitor the tax obligations of Canadian, U.S., and European subsidiaries
  • Recommend and implement IT projects or accounting process improvements
  • Participate in special corporate projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • CPA designation obtained or in progress
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting or financial management
  • Fluency in French and functional proficiency in English, both spoken and written
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of IFRS, ASPE, and US GAAP
  • Knowledge of Oracle Financials is a major asset
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a rigorous approach
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Sound business judgment, leadership skills, and a strong commitment to internal and external customer service
  • Proactive approach and ability to develop new, effective business processes
