About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a strategic partner and advise managers on their day-to-day challenges and on improving their practices
  • Oversee the disciplinary management process and advise leadership on appropriate measures
  • Promote change management and continue identifying and developing succession talent
  • Guide employees in addressing their needs and support their engagement
  • Maintain strong working relationships with all business lines
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new employees and support managers throughout the process
  • Conduct employment law research and monitor applicable standards and legislation
  • Develop, implement, and update the employee handbook and HR policies
  • Ensure compliance with personal information protection policies and complete government surveys
  • Participate in the implementation of a new HR information system and identify improvements
  • Provide support to the Talent Acquisition Technician during periods of increased workload
  • Manage administrative and operational needs, including drafting employment letters and purchasing ergonomic equipment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in industrial relations or human resources
  • CRHA designation (an asset)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in financial services (an asset)
  • Fluent French and working proficiency in English; approximately 30% of tasks are performed in English
  • Self-motivated, with excellent judgment and a broad perspective
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of Workday (an asset)
