About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the technical execution of the company’s international trade operations
Ensure the correct customs classification of imports and exports
Ensure compliance with current legislation and control of special customs regimes applicable to the aviation industry
Work directly with internal departments, customs brokers, licensing authorities, domestic and international suppliers, and government agencies
Assess and determine the customs classification of import and export operations
Perform technical analyses and monitor processes related to special customs regimes
Handle matters related to DI, DUIMP, LPCO, licenses, approvals, and other customs documents
Monitor amendments, nationalization, document regularization, and the closure of special regimes
Monitor statutory deadlines and regulatory requirements applicable to operations
Work with customs brokers to ensure the proper execution of processes
Identify operational, tax, and customs risks, proposing preventive and corrective actions
Support audits, inspections, and requests from government agencies
Prepare controls, performance indicators, and management reports related to international trade operations
Contribute to continuous process improvement and the company’s regulatory compliance
Manage complex customs operations in a highly regulated environment, balancing operational agility, risk mitigation, tax compliance, and the needs of aviation operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, International Relations, Logistics, Law, or a related field
Solid experience in import and export operations
Advanced knowledge of customs legislation and special customs regimes
Previous experience working for a customs brokerage or in an equivalent role involving the analysis and guidance of customs operations
Knowledge of DI, DUIMP, LPCO, approvals, and customs clearance processes
Intermediate English for communication with international suppliers and partners
Analytical skills and autonomy in managing critical operations
Experience in the aviation industry is desirable
SAP knowledge is a plus
Intermediate or advanced Spanish is a plus
Knowledge of AI tools applied to productivity and data analysis
