About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and maintain data services and applications
- Ensure clean code, stable pipelines, and simple visualizations to support business decisions
- Develop Python backends, including APIs, automations, and data integrations
- Expose data through applications and interfaces by developing APIs and web applications
- Containerize and deploy applications with Docker and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps on App Service or a similar platform
- Ensure quality and observability through unit and integration testing, monitoring, structured logging, and alerts
- Connect APIs, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, and messaging systems
- Review code, document standards, and support junior colleagues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Professional experience in software development
- Advanced Python
- FastAPI, Flask, or a similar framework
- Intermediate SQL, including basic data modeling and basic tuning
- Docker
- Experience with at least one CI/CD workflow
- Basic front-end knowledge: HTML/CSS, Dash, or basic React, with a primary focus on back-end development
- Azure: App Service, Container Registry, and Key Vault (a plus)
- Kubernetes / AKS (a plus)
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and Bicep (a plus)
- E2E testing: Playwright and Cypress (a plus)
- Basic FinOps and application observability practices (a plus)
- English proficiency for reading documentation and participating in technical meetings (a plus)
- Knowledge of aviation business rules (a plus)
