Tax Legal Specialist

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the management of tax and customs litigation in coordination with external law firms
- Contribute to defining strategies for administrative and judicial proceedings
- Act as a business partner by providing technical support to other departments on the tax implications of new projects and operations
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and proactively assess their impact on the business
- Analyze legislation and the impacts of Tax Reform
- Act strategically by providing support to the Institutional Relations department
- Support tax planning studies and discussions with external law firms
- Support external audits and tax inspections
- Monitor and renew Tax Clearance Certificates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law (degree completed or graduation pending formal issuance)
- Active professional registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- Advanced/fluent English
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in the legal department of a large company
- Consultative profile, with strong technical expertise in analyzing and keeping up to date with tax and fiscal legislation
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills with a range of stakeholders
- Accounting knowledge is a plus
