About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and maintain new hire orientation materials and required employee documentation in the HRIS and personnel files
  • Set up and maintain HR shared-drive folders and files
  • Maintain HR processes, policies, and procedures
  • Partner with Talent and Training on new hire orientation
  • Coordinate with IT and Facilities on new hire and termination equipment
  • Manage I-9, EEO, workers’ compensation, background screening, and government sanctions records
  • Approve and update employee self-service requests and organizational changes in the HRIS
  • Document payroll changes for bi-weekly payroll
  • Serve as backup for employment verifications and recruitment coordination
  • Facilitate offboarding, termination packets, final pay coordination, and exit meetings
  • Assist employees with HR and benefits questions
  • Lead tuition assistance approval and reimbursement processes
  • Support unemployment, workers’ compensation, legal claims, compensation programs, policies, and HRIS updates
  • Maintain the emergency response system, including onboarding/offboarding data and troubleshooting
  • Assist with performance, compensation, bonus, and benefits programs
  • Update job descriptions and liaise among HR business partners, Talent, and Recruitment
  • Identify process gaps and recommend efficiency improvements
  • Assist with EEO-1, ACA, payroll, compliance audits, legislation updates, and policy maintenance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years of Human Resources experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Benefits and Payroll
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Psychology, Human Resources, or related fields
  • Will accept experience in any combination of academic education, professional training, or work experience in lieu of the preferred degree
  • PHR or HRIS Certification preferred
  • Healthcare or public setting experience preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in ADP, Workday, Paylocity, or similar HRIS platforms preferred
  • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information
  • Ability to work with multiple projects and departments
  • Ability to work cross-culturally in a diverse environment
  • Professional, cohesive, and articulate written communication
  • Ability to oversee projects and prioritize resources
  • Ability to self-manage priorities and responsibilities
  • Ability to maintain vendor relationships
  • Ability to use computer programs and workplace tools
  • Ability to implement and maintain reports
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, HRIS, and payroll systems
  • A valid and current Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and professional licensure(s)
