About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead financial analysis supporting Sales and Operations across approximately 15–16 locations nationwide
- Analyze location-level profitability and identify, scope, and track value-creation initiatives
- Evaluate performance against warehouse and transportation KPIs
- Provide leadership insights on monthly actual results and key financial-performance drivers
- Participate in preparation of materials for sponsors, lenders, and the Board of Directors
- Develop and maintain performance metrics, methods, and targets
- Establish daily, weekly, and monthly operational reporting
- Analyze large data sets, identify trends, and determine root causes
- Perform variance analysis and research financial irregularities
- Support the monthly financial close
- Partner with Sales and Operations on annual budgeting for volume, pricing, net sales, and operating costs
- Prepare monthly and annual reporting decks for CFO meetings and Board calls
- Participate in annual budgeting and strategic planning
- Support capital expenditure review, including ROI and payback-period analysis
- Interpret market data and recommend actions
- Develop forecasts using historical data and market trends
- Review market analytics to support go-to-market strategy
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc analysis
- Act as a business partner to Sales and Operations by coaching and developing financial acumen
- Lead and develop two direct reports: a Senior Financial Analyst and a Financial Analyst
- Follow company policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required
- CPA / MBA preferred
- Minimum of 10+ years of related experience
- ERP system experience; NAV experience preferred
- Strong partnership skills and proven financial support of various functions throughout the company
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a PE backed environment preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at all levels within the organization
- Proficiency in MS Office and applicable financial software applications; Workday Adaptive a plus
- Power user in Excel, with strong experience with pivot tables, matches, and other key formulas
- Significant experience with three statement models and iterative reference preferred
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to work effectively independently and under deadlines
- Intermittent travel (~20%) expected
- Ability to meet physical demands, including occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
