About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the Financial Controller and work closely with Client Business Directors
- Manage revenue and KPI reporting, forecasting, and analysis to support internal business decisions and Group requirements
- Perform monthly reporting and detailed variance analysis for Billings & Income
- Ensure revenue recognition complies with agreed Group policies and document related judgments
- Reconcile all revenue-related balance sheet accounts at month end
- Review prepaid jobs for potentially unrecognised fee income
- Track, update, and analyse rolling Billings & Income forecasts
- Partner with Client teams on accurate and timely Billings & Income forecasts
- Report and analyse Client Spends for the Investment Team
- Maintain the Billings & Income High-Level Client Summary
- Complete Group reporting packs, including P&L and Balance Sheet variance analysis, Client Revenue Database, Revenue Pipeline, and Client Relationship Status
- Track, manage, and report media owner arrangements, including timely invoicing
- Manage referral fees and performance-related fees
- Maintain the Forecast Tool and update client and commission information
- Update the Net New Business tracker monthly
- Maintain the client profitability/utilisation tool and perform monthly updates
- Support client teams with profitability and time/cost analysis
- Support the CFO with basic SOW drafting and costings
- Provide ad hoc Billings & Income and Client analysis for internal and external stakeholders
- Support CFO and Financial Controller with ad hoc projects and analysis
- Support billings requests, barter credit billings, client reconciliations, and associated journals
- Provide revenue documentation and statutory disclosures for local and Group audits
- Support internal audit/SOX compliance relating to revenue
- Lead quarterly Billings & Income reforecasting and associated reporting packs
- Lead the annual Billings and Income budget and associated reporting packs
Requirements
What you’ll need- ACCA/CIMA part-qualified
- At least 2 years’ industry experience in a similar role
- Experience working in a media or marketing services environment (media ideal)
- Organised and able to manage multiple workstreams while anticipating workload impacts on team deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous exposure to drafting client contracts and SOW (nice to have)
- Proactive and demonstrates initiative
- Meticulous analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think around problems, develop inventive solutions, and make informed judgments
- Confident communicator with ability to build relationships at all levels
- Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects
- IT literate, including advanced Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Media Ocean/Maconomy is a plus
