About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle specific technical design aspects of assigned major projects
- Investigate, evaluate, and recommend design solutions meeting client needs
- Provide professional architectural consultation for planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects
- Apply advanced architectural concepts and designs independently
- Assist with design presentations and project design development
- Follow firm-wide standards and support other staff
- Develop plans, drawings, documents, files, BIM, and models with reduced oversight
- Collaborate with senior architectural team members, consultants, contractors, and the broader design team
- Coordinate communication and confirm appropriate documentation
- Review projects for completeness and accuracy
- Assist with quality control to ensure work meets or exceeds standards
- Document and report construction issues and progress during site visits
- Utilize technology and software tools for drafting
- Seek expanded opportunities and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced architectural concepts and design application
- Ability to independently handle complex or novel assignments
- Ability to develop new or improved techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of industry standards, trends, technologies, and best practices
- Knowledge of building codes and ability to explore alternative design solutions or interpretations
- Ability to use drafting technology and software tools
- BIM, models, plans, drawings, and project documentation experience
- Ability to review projects for completeness and accuracy
- Ability to assist with quality control processes
- Ability to document and report construction issues and progress during site visits
