About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain high-load backend services
- Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Design fault-tolerant systems
- Take part in architectural decisions and technical discussions
- Optimize and evolve existing systems and tools
- Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices
- Collaborate closely with the team to define priorities and solutions
- Write clear technical documentation
- Work on a high-load gaming platform that processes gaming traffic and handles numerous API integrations with external operators
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of commercial experience with Python
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
- Experience designing scalable backend systems
- Good written English (for documentation and communication)
- Native Ukrainian (spoken and written)
- Experience with non-relational databases (Cassandra, Redis/KeyDB, etc.) is a plus
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience working with high-load or distributed systems is a plus
- Production experience with monitoring, error tracking and observability tools is a plus
- Experience designing and developing integrations with third-party services and APIs is a plus
- Experience using AI tools to support software development workflows is a plus
