About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research competitor rate filings for Commercial GL, Property, and Auto lines of business
  • Perform competitor analyses for Commercial GL, Property, and Auto lines of business
  • Update Tableau dashboards to compare GNY and competitor filings
  • Update competitor analysis SQL Server database tables based on rate filings research
  • Update and maintain SQL code to output final competitor analysis tables
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum two years of college completed in Actuarial, Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or related field
  • Experience building spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel required
  • Programming experience in SQL, R, VBA, or other languages preferred
  • Working knowledge of Tableau preferred
  • Strong ability to quickly learn new programming languages or software
  • Strong ability to perform work efficiently and accurately
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to read through and analyze policy coverages
