About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead activities to reduce health, safety, security and environmental risk in line with Group and Site HSE Business Plans
- Help review, develop and deliver HSE Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures and Training materials
- Ensure site HSE policies, procedures and systems are adhered to effectively
- Assist with accident/incident reporting and investigations
- Assist with HSE audit programmes to ensure compliance with UK legislation and Gousto standards
- Challenge unsafe behaviours appropriately and escalate accordingly
- Support the site team in identifying and closing gaps in HSE standards
- Conduct inventory checks of First Aid equipment
- Carry out ad-hoc administrative tasks
- Report to the Health, Safety & Environment Manager
- Support HSE programmes and initiatives for a safe and sustainable workplace serving approximately 500 colleagues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience as a Health & Safety Administrator or Coordinator
- Previous experience working in a Warehouse, FMCG, Fulfilment or Factory environment
- Passion, experience and genuine interest in health and safety matters
- Experience of, and/or training in writing risk assessments/safe systems of work
- Experience or knowledge of workplace transport and associated risks
- Relevant professional H&S qualification is desirable, or willingness to work towards
- Strong communication skills
- Competent in the use of IT systems
