About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee day-to-day VA Project Management team operations
Develop project plans, roadmaps, deadlines, and milestones
Certify all phases of risk assessment
Attend work groups, meetings, and technical exchanges
Organize and visualize team work
Expand network monitoring and detection capabilities through SIP monitoring, log analysis, automated remediation, and network resiliency improvements
Improve organizational awareness and readiness for network changes through communications and technical training
Capture meeting notes, themes, action items, and next steps
Interact with GovCIO and VA management to interpret needs and requirements
Review security plans, risk assessments, network diagrams, and SOPs
Conduct weekly, monthly, and ad hoc meetings
Coordinate cloud platform delivery, release readiness, and end-to-end processing
Oversee routine maintenance of network security devices and applications
Provide mentorship to team personnel
Develop processes and procedures to improve team operability and communication
Enforce VA NOC, intra-team policies, and performance standards
Assign responsibilities and monitor tasks and project status
Develop OKR and KPI strategies and compliance dashboards
Map and improve ITSM workflows for ServiceNow deployment
Ensure action items and milestones are documented and completed as planned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 12+ years of experience
Must be able to pass and maintain a Tier 4 (BI) Government Background Investigation
Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and techniques
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, MS Teams, Word, and Excel
Flexibility, ingenuity, creativity, diplomacy, and willingness to learn and adapt
