About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Meet with stakeholders to understand and collect complex business requirements, acting as the primary bridge between mission owners and technical teams
Document requirements as Enhancement Requests and User Stories with clear, concise, and testable acceptance criteria
Perform verification testing on ServiceNow services and modules built by the development team
Explain ServiceNow capabilities and platform usage to business users, facilitate training, and drive platform adoption across the USCG
Execute the full SDLC using Scrum, Agile, DevSecOps, Lean, and Waterfall methodologies
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable, functional scoped applications and ServiceNow modules
Advocate for out-of-the-box alignment and adhere to ServiceNow platform governance best practices to minimize technical debt
Ensure business processes and application designs conform to USCG system security requirements and federal data protection standards
Produce and maintain functional requirements documents, user guides, and Software Lifecycle Management Plan updates

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience)
Demonstrated experience as a Business or Process Analyst supporting the ServiceNow platform
Proven ability to execute the SDLC using modern frameworks such as Agile, DevOps, or DevSecOps in a mission-critical environment
Experience documenting requirements specifically for USCG, DoD, DHS, or federal cybersecurity-focused environments
Proficiency in quality assurance (QA) and verification testing within the ServiceNow platform
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead stakeholder meetings and translate technical capabilities into business value
Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment, focusing on process efficiency and operational readiness
Active Secret Clearance
Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard or Department of Homeland Security (DHS) programs
Knowledge of ServiceNow Governance or the Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
Familiarity with ITIL framework and enterprise IT governance
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset
