About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage integrated delivery across VA AI task orders
Maintain portfolio roadmaps and run SAFe cadence across AI teams
Manage platform partner relationships and build evidence for VA investment and scale decisions
Create integrated project plans for contract deliverables and products in development
Manage multidisciplinary project teams, project status, budgets, schedules and status reports
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client-satisfaction goals
Develop mechanisms for project monitoring, intervention and problem solving
Manage projects through design, implementation and testing
Define requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment
Supervise professional and technical support personnel
Schedule tasks and coordinate team members
Manage vendor task integration and review vendor deliverables
Ensure quality standards and review project deliverables
Conduct project meetings and handle project tracking, analysis and reporting
Manage integrated roadmaps and schedules across task orders in Jira Plans with visible cross-team dependencies
Maintain milestone plans and rolling deployment forecasts
Serve as day-to-day delivery lead with the VA and hold vendor partners to sprint, quality and traceability standards
Act as scrum master and set Jira and Confluence standards
Generally report to a Program Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience), including 3+ years leading agile multi-team programs
Expert Jira (Plans/Advanced Roadmaps, epics and initiatives, JQL, dashboards) and Confluence space design
Experience delivering AI, data or digital modernization programs for a federal agency
Track record managing subcontractor or platform partner delivery
Clear, concise writing for executive audiences
Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust background investigation
Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust
Technical or product development background (software engineering, data science or product management) (preferred)
Active Scrum certification (CSM, PSM or SAFe SSM) (preferred)
SAFe SPC, RTE or POPM certification; PMP (preferred)
Working knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, RAG and AI evaluation and model governance (preferred)
VA or VHA experience; familiarity with VA OIT, VAMF and ATO processes (preferred)
