About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work within the Employer and Labor Union commercial vertical and an assigned geographic region to drive interest, leads, and new account opportunities
  • Enter calls, activities, and customer information into Salesforce/Outreach and keep stakeholders informed
  • Conduct approximately 50 cold calls per day, cold emails, LinkedIn messaging, and other outbound communications
  • Establish connections with clinical, executive, and HR/Benefits leaders to open pipeline opportunities and schedule meetings for Employer and Labor Key Account Directors
  • Use sales and marketing automation tools to increase exposure within target accounts, measure activities, and monitor effectiveness
  • Achieve goals for outbound calls, new prospects identified, meetings scheduled, and meetings completed
  • Grow into opportunity management from identification through closure of midmarket deals
  • Meet SLAs and diligently follow up with prospects through multiple contact attempts
  • Provide market feedback on competitive activity, pricing, and industry trends to marketing and sales stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Employer and Labor Sales and Marketing teams
  • Identify companies and contacts for outreach, secure meetings with key decision-makers, manage a robust pipeline of marketing-qualified leads, and participate in full sales-cycle management of midmarket deals
  • Report to the Sr. Director of Employer and Labor Sales
  • Contribute to company culture by embracing and enhancing company values

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 2 years inside sales or field sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Travel as necessary (~20%)
  • Experience with sales and prospecting tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Apollo
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or lab sales and/or selling into HR & Benefits leaders within self-insured employers, health systems, life insurance, and health plan companies preferred
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills preferred
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and closing sales opportunities preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information into an “elevator pitch” and persuade someone to take action preferred
