About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Gather and clarify business requirements and analyse existing processes and applications
Design, develop, and support Java / Angular applications and microservices
Build and maintain backend services using Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate
Develop Angular frontends and integrate them with backend APIs
Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests
Execute system, integration, and performance testing and support UAT
Support release preparation, deployment, and change-management activities
Participate in Agile ceremonies and communicate directly with stakeholders
Maintain technical documentation, code documentation, and operational guides
Support application issues, release activities, risks, and change requests

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of hands-on professional Java development experience, including production releases
Strong experience with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate
Proven experience personally writing and maintaining automated unit and integration tests for Java applications
Strong hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript / JavaScript, including backend API integration
Experience with Git-based team development, including branches, pull/merge requests, and code review
Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, XML, YAML, and JSON
Experience with microservices and modern application delivery practices
Experience using AI coding agents such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Codex for implementation, modification, review, or testing — not only code completion
Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent professional experience
Must be based within the EU and able to travel occasionally to Luxembourg
